Vancouver, BC. October 20, 2011. TouchSquid Technology was the corporate sponsor for the High Tech Award category for Douglas College Annual Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 award. Over 400 guests were given the opportunity to try out the pre-market release TouchSquid remote control tablet.

The first tablet went to Dr. Cobi Slater of Essential Health Natural Wellness Clinic Inc. for having won the Overall Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 Award. The second tablet was awarded to Steve Chapman of Virtual Outdoor Adventures, the lucky door prize winner for the night. Fabio Milano, the son of an entrepreneur, became an entrepreneur after the last company he worked for shut down. He knew then it was time to take control of his destiny by building his own IT business. The first year proved challenging with lots of hours spent building systems and strategic alliances. This hard work was rewarded with the sales tripling in the second year. While high technology systems and software contributed to his success, it is the old fashioned relationship building and networking that helped to grow his customer base. A strong vision and clear goals navigate his path. He is of the strong belief that “anything is possible… and that a startup business can truly have unlimited potential”.
This award is all the more significant as it serves as a validation from one high-tech company to another.
